New Scepter for Sorc!(My Design)
Hello my dear friends! Today i was thinking about sorcerer and his lack of UT's. Welp, i've seen most of the people are trying to do their Scepter try, so here is mine!(Positive and Negative feedback are welcome)
Without further ado, here is my Idea:
Name: The Electrifier (temporal name)
Desc: -A scepter forged from a mighty tempest. A small touch may immobilize even the greatest dragon.
Damage: 150 damage to 6 targets.
Effect: Paralyze target for 3 seconds.
MP Cost: 130
Cooldown: 4 seconds.
Stats: +4 Speed -4 dex
Why is it unique and balanced?
-This scepter is specialy made for rushing, has higuer damage than Fulmination and less than Storms, the range is lesser than both and hits less targets. Not to mention the MP cost is the highest from all the scepters in game. It uniqueness comes to, as i said, on rushing. Lets put this example:
-You are in an Ocean Trench, or any other dungeon with a few people(or alone), someones tries to rush but fails and dies/nexus/disconnects. This scepter gives the chance for you to brave yourself and run through those dangerous halls and keep the mobs at a distance with the paralyzing effect.
Drops suggestions accepted.
(Drops from Cloud Elemental(Jmn Dungeon mob) at 1/200 rate)
What do you think about this?
Seems ok but the sprite looks more of a deformed sword than of a scepter looking one
I'd remove the damage and lower the mana cost, imo. good idea
To me (having played both Realm and Nilly's Realm). I think this would be a nice addition, but as rushing goes I think damage should be low and the paralyze be upped a bit. So you can just run clean through a place. Maybe add a 1 second stun for it? Thats just my opinion

I don't think I'd make a good judge for sprites (even though I think it looks pretty cool) so I'll just talk about what I think of the balance.
In terms of effect, and stats I think the scepter is fine.
However, considering the high amount of MP that sorcerer has (385, you could probably get 4 uses with the right equipment) I'd either consider adding a cooldown of 4 seconds, lowering the paralyze time or increasing the MP cost to something like 130. That way users have to be a little more conservative and the scepter can't be spammed as much.
The other two things are simply my opinion.
- I don't see any point in having damage for the scepter. If the entire point of this is to rush, I don't see why the 190 damage is necessary.
- The description could use some work. It looks kind of "mainstream" (for a lack of a better word) to me.
Anyway, it needs a little bit of fine tuning but I would absolutely love to see this ingame. Considering how much I like to rush on my sorcs, this would be a great addition.

About the MP cost, i want to keep it high, something like 100~120, because you won't gonna be using it as often. The reason about that damage is because, its true i made it for rushing, but it can also be used to do dps(if You have bad aiming, You can swap-out your tiered/fulmi and use this scepter to stop the mob for a short time, like cristal prisoner/asylum mage).

Exactly. You shouldn't be able to spam it, which is why I'm saying the MP cost isn't high enough. You could easily get 4 uses with the right gear, I think the MP cost should be somewhere around 130.

This is also exactly what I meant. You can switch to this scepter in order to paralyze so you can do damage easily with your wand. The scepter itself does not need to do damage.
@iole then make MP Cost higher a bit and lower the damage to 160?

Dunno what that dungeon is. Drop rate is fair.
As for MP cost. It should be at least 140. The normal is just too low for what it does. As for damage I would maybe keep it at a 150. The -4 dex doesnt really do much for you as when you are rushing you honestly arent trying to shoot at what you are running past. This scepter seems more like a "Oh crap this room is not fun" scepter. As in, its is something to use when you are rushing something very risky.

Sprite: Ack...I don't like it D: Srry, but it could be much better
Stats: I like the concept I guess. But I dunno...it just seems too op. A potential of 6 targets? That would mean a potential of paralyzing 6 monsters at the same time, I don't really like that :/ With huntress and archer you need a good aim in order to use the paralyze effect to its full potential, but with sorcerer...its just too easy. All you have to do is get a tiny bit close and use your ability.
I also disagree, I don't think it'd be too good with rushing. With its high MP Cost and cool down you'd only be able to use the scepter once or twice, a fulmination would be more appropriate since you can use it consistently when you go through the multiple layers of a dungeon.
I personally think you should lower the amount of targets and in exchange for that lower the MP Cost. But where it is right now, I don't think it'll be too effective in game.
I like the idea of it though. You just need to tweak it a little bit.

Sprite looks... Okay, but the blend or shading just doesn't seem right. It kinda looks like a grapple type gun.
Name seems perfectly fine.
I like how the scepter overall has balanced stats. I love it how you can paralyze with it. but there is just one problem.
I don't understand when a player would you this. I mean, it is awesome, but what dungeon would they use it in? With the high cost people just might just use it once and a while. Or just use the Fulmi. But still, it seems cool! While using this scepter, I'd probably use it just because I love new items that look and sound cool. And are O.K but this is good! 9.5/10!

The sprite looks worse than my sprites and the name is terrible otherwise like it
almost no1 would use fulmi and with this set pristine your scepter esbens robe and a unbound mp this becomes extremley op so....

But who df is going to get pristine so w/e
I think Daze is a better choice, as it can be swap out with Fulmi and do ridiculous rushing combos.
Two scepters that affects movement isn't really a good thing in my opinion
I decided if this sprite that lindow is using is not liked, i made another.
I know the blend of colors might be a bit bad. I could always remove the blue part. Your choice
