Just letting you guys know that you guys will have to endure some shit for a little while if you wish to play NR. I'm working on a permanent fix to god mode but until that happens there will be hero hackers trying to kill your fun. There will also be a bit of lag too due to the increase of client information needed to do a proper god mode fix. Hang in there. I'm working to make things better but it will take some time.
About wipe and the future of this project
I've been pretty quiet the past few days. Been working on various things having to do with the project that are pretty big changes. That being creating/updating the client with the unobfuscated client released by DECA and the database changes. Database changes stalled a bit because it doesn't really achieve what I want to achieve and I have to think about it more (more about the structure of the source and how the different parts are run).
Having said that, these changes will take a while and I feel it would be inappropriate to stall any wipe if there were to be one. So I'm thinking if there is to be a wipe, we should do it soon. Friday, July 29 at 12am PST is a date that seems like a reasonable time to do so.
The other big thing is the future of this project. I'm sort of in a position right now where I feel we either cash in on the project or go public with it. I really don't feel like dragging on like we have in the past. What I really want to do is take what I've learned here and start work on a new project that will be free of the copyright issues we face with this project.
Everyone hates cashing in, especially on a small independent project such as this. I'm not sure there is a way we can do it without alienating some of the player base/staff. I'm open to ideas if any of you got some. If it seems like it really isn't feasible to cash in, I rather just make the project public and forgo the idea of ever making money with it and start work on something else.
Going public with the project doesn't mean that this site is dead. I will still develop on it and play a managing role for it. The forums/game server will still exist. The only difference is other people will be able to run an NR server/take advantage of the code base the community/staff here helped develop. Hopefully, people will help improve the source and we can take advantage of that.

Support NR by becoming a patron
I just created a Patreon account as a way to support and fund the server going forward. If you guys would like to see the server continue on, think about becoming a patron.
Once you pledge, you'll be able to claim your discord/in game rewards. On Patreon, claim your discord reward. Use discord to link your in game account to your discord account. Once that is done, you'll find that your account has been ranked to the appropriate level based on the tier you've chosen.
Currently, Patreon is the only way to help financially support the server. Paypal/Bitcoin is not accepted.
Billing is done on a monthly basis (on the 1st as I understand) and will be reoccurring until you decide to opt out. Only active patrons will receive in game rank meaning once you opt out, the discord role and rank will be removed.

Let the community decide: Should reund be given?
So basically there is an account with what would have been the scammed items/fame (maybe a bit more). The account has been banned and the scammer ip banned/forum account banned. As everyone knows, "sorry for your loss, no reunds." Do we make an exception here and give the scammed the account?

A warning to players who try different pservers. Protect your NR account.
Just a warning to people who wish to try other rotmg pservers. Make sure you don't use the same email/pass as your nilly's account. Make sure before trying the server you log out of your account on NR too. It is easy to gain account info on a private server and could be used as a method of hacking accounts.
Been away for a while, need to get caught up
This thread will be a log of current issues with NR that need to be addressed immediately.
List of issues:
- Duping - Need to know how it works. If someone could detail the exact method, I'll provide a fix.
- Marketplace bugs. Also a part of the duping problem.
- Server administration changes. Server needs proper maintenance and care.
- Limited server resources (memory issues).
- Godmode. There will always be an issue with godmode, I will look into it however and see what can be done.
These problems will take longer than 2-3 days to fix. What I plan on doing is start working on transitioning the server over to the NR-CORE source. Get it working as best as it can, disable marketplace and start the server so people can play. Then start hammering out the issues above.

Forums back up. Some info on what is going on with this site/game.
So I've been away for... more than a long time. I've just been busy with other things and haven't really wanted to spend the time needed to keep things in order here. It honestly became one of those things that I tried to avoid thinking about because it is painful to considering the way/length of time I went away. Pretty shitty thing to do and I apologize to everyone that has devoted their time to it only to see it come to this.
With that said, I probably should relinquish control of the project. I don't have the heart to continue to work on it. I'll keep you guys updated on what will happen exactly when I know more.
About dupe, rollback and all that... possible wipe so don't rwt
So we found out about a dupe today. Thought it was due to the recent changes made to the source. That wasn't the case. Turns out the dupe existed for a very long time. That makes any short term rollback kind of pointless. The server will remain as it was without a rollback while we consider a full wipe. For now, don't engage in real world trading till we know for sure what we are going to do.
Looking for donors to help fund new server setup
I'm currently in the process of testing a new server setup that consists of multiple servers. That being the case, the costs of running the servers gets pretty costly. The test servers consist of 3 8gb vps' that cost $80 each (totaling $240 a month). Combine that with the 16 gb server currently running the test.nillysrealm.com server that everyone plays on ($160) and the 2gb server the forums and misc run on ($20), we have a total of $420 in server cost in one month (which is ridiculous I know). Just looking for a little help funding them while I work out the various issues involved with the new setup.

Donations can be sent via paypal to [email protected]. The donation must be made as friends and family (any other type will simply be refunded). The minimum donation amount for rank is $10 US. Be sure to include the username of the account you would like ranked in the note. If you would like your forum account added to the donor group, include your forum name too. Foreign currencies are fine as long as the amount is equivalent to $10 US or more if you want rank.
Ranking is a manual process that can take time. An attempt will be made to process all donations within a 24hr time period. Longer if there are problems (sent as payment, username not listed in note, etc...).
Any player advertising any form of gambling (1v1's, roulette, etc) can and will be banned. Stop it.
It's an issue because some players really think all these 1v1's, etc are legit. They're not. So I'm just making it official, if you advertise/do gambling games you can and will be banned for it.
